Quinces featured a lot this week, with gifts from two people. They poach with spices and jasmine tea balls in the slow cooker to make jam. And others marinate in spices and dry in the sun, ready for a Quince Pickle.
Cumquats were turned into my favourite Cumquat Pickle, and sit beautifully in lemon juice and spices.
Also another bountiful gift – arms loads of drumsticks. I have made Drumstick Kadhi. The rest were blanched and frozen for a winter of drumstick curries.
