Oh what an amazing week! Not a minute to breathe deeply (well, I did make some time, but you know, it was busy every micro minute of each day). But so exciting, great work and great people. I love these types of weeks, but it is at home in the Kitchen that I am most comfortable. When I don’t get time to cook I feel discombobulated.
The weather here is definitely wintery, even tho spring approacheth. The birds are singing, the trees are blossoming, the days are longer, the parrots have arrived again. Yet it is wet, cold, even hailing this week. In the desert it was a super 26C, but we returned to a 12C evening and the wettest few days this winter.
So it is wintery dishes that were calling me – and I decided on some stuffed tomatoes with a dal puree and some sautéed field mushrooms. I love these stuffed tomatoes, easy to make, wintery, delicious. Full of rice and herbs they are the ants pants on an evening just made for eating in front of the tv (and heater).
