Life is good. I love to spend time with friends, talking of the important things of lives. It is the best of occupations! Today, friends and I read from Prarthana to each other, discussing the mantras and interpretations, chanting some chants, and all the time sitting in the sunshine and sipping fresh peach tea with real, ripe, juicy, white peaches. What could be better?

Today a gorgeously summery tomato soup. Good tomatoes are generally available again, and light soups suitable for the weather are wonderful – full of lemongrass and Indian spices.

I found a recipe scribbled for me on a piece of paper. A Parsi Sev, a sweet vermicelli dessert. There is something sensuous in a good, sweet, Indian dessert.
